GayCities Announces Monthly Photo Sharing Challenge: Winning Photos earn Prizes from Delta Airlines, Kimpton Hotels, Snapfish and Water Bearer Films
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) -- GayCities (http://www.gaycities.com) - the popular city guide and travel review site - announced today the launch of a new monthly photo sharing challenge. Users are invited to share photos of their social lives and travels, with a chance to win recognition and prizes. The contest will have a rotating monthly theme, highlighting the diversity of LGBT life across the globe.
Each monthly challenge (http://www.gaycities.com/challenge) offers a range of prizes from GayCities sponsors. Initial sponsors include Delta Airlines, Kimpton Hotels & restaurants, Snapfish and Water Bearer Films.
"GayCities is all about people connecting and sharing their favorite aspects of the cities where they live and travel," says Scott Gatz, GayCities founder and chief executive officer. "The GayCities photo challenge allows real people to express themselves and collectively document gay life in a way that has never been done in LGBT media."
The first month's challenge is titled "My Pride," commemorating the 40th anniversary of Stonewall. Registered GayCities users are encouraged to submit photography that chronicles their experience with pride parades and rallies (there are nearly 300 this year alone).

A prestigious jury of creative professionals will review the submissions and pick the winning photos each month. The jury includes 27 award-winning photographers, filmmakers, art critics, entertainment professionals and writers/bloggers, including Amy Ziering, producer of OUTRAGE; Glenn Gaylord, director of the forthcoming feature film EATING OUT 3; David Hauslaib, the creator of blogs Jossip and Queerty.
